Davis Thompson Wins First PGA Tour Title

Thompson Crushes TPC Deere Run

Sets 72-hole Scoring Record

In his 63rd start, Davis Thompson can officially call himself a PGA Tour winner. Thompson won his first PGA Tour title Sunday with a 7-under 64 to set the 72-hole scoring record at the John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill.

Thompson entered the final round with a two-shot lead and never looked back. He cruised through the TPC Deere Run course, firing six birdies and an eagle on the par-5 17th.

"It's an incredible feeling," Thompson said. "I've been working so hard for this moment, and it's finally here. I can't thank my team, my family, and my sponsors enough for all their support."
