Nail Art: How to Coat Nails with Acrylic
Materials You'll Need
* Acrylic monomer * Acrylic brush * Dip bowl
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Nail
* Clean and shape your nails as desired. * Buff the surface of your nails to create a smooth base for the acrylic.
Step 2: Dip the Brush into the Monomer
* Dip the acrylic brush into the monomer. * Tap the brush on the side of the bowl to remove any excess monomer.
Step 3: Gather the Acrylic Mixture
* Approach the powder with the wet brush, allowing the liquid monomer to pick up the dry powder. * A bubble will form on the surface of the mixture.
Step 4: Apply the Mixture to the Nail
* Apply the acrylic mixture to the nailbed, starting at the cuticle area. * Use a smooth, even stroke to distribute the mixture evenly.
Step 5: Shape and File
* Once the acrylic has dried, shape and file your nails to your desired length and shape. * Use a fine-grit file to blend the edges and smooth the surface.
Step 6: Buff and Finish
* Buff the nails with a nail buffer to remove any imperfections. * Apply a top coat to seal and protect your acrylic nails.
